This happens to me all the time. This semester in every homework assignment of Linear Algebra we had to find the flawed / impossible question, prove why it couldn't be done, and email the T.A. the proof, because he was just that awful. I stopped taking anything at face value in that class after catching the first four or five errors in the homework assignments.
