i googled "purple giraffe" and there is a wikipedia page about it lol ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_Giraffe - i actually like HIMYM )

It's like in physics. Every real application needs a lot of apprximations... hahaha

Mathematicians often have wacky senses of humor. Like the pair watching an empty house when someone walked up, entered, and left a few minutes later with someone from inside the house. One mathematician looked at the other and said, "Now, if someone just goes back in, that house will be empty again."
